National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women – February Activities Update
From February 11 to 12, 2025, the National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women held its 22nd Annual General Assembly over a two-day session. With anti-sex trade activists from across the country gathered in one place, the assembly was filled with meaningful discussions, including sharing activities from each member organization throughout 2024 and engaging in group discussions to envision our collective direction for 2025.
Last year, as we marked the 20th anniversary of the Act on the Prevention of Prostitution, we assessed both the achievements and limitations of the law and actively worked domestically and internationally to highlight the necessity of amending the Act on punishment of acts of engaging in prostitution.
In 2025, amid rapidly changing social and political landscapes, we aim to intervene proactively. Internally, we will strengthen the discourse and policy development of the anti-sex trade and anti-exploitation movement. Externally, we will work actively to raise public awareness and bring key anti-sex trade issues to the forefront of public debate.
Thanks to the support and solidarity of so many people, the National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women was able to carry out a wide range of activities last year. We look forward to your continued interest and solidarity in the year ahead!
