National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women – December Activities Update

The [Mia-ri Records Exhibition] titled “Vanishing but Not Gone” organized by Boda, an affiliated institution of the National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women, was held from December 23 to 28. Despite the busy year-end season, many citizens visited the exhibition. Reading their reflections provided valuable insights into how Mia-ri should be remembered and recorded.

December also witnessed a highly significant event in Korean society: the President declared martial law. In response, women’s organizations issued immediate public statements and launched various protest actions advocating for the President’s impeachment. The overwhelming participation of women in their 20s and 30s at these gatherings has delivered a shocking wake-up call and is driving meaningful change in society. Let us continue to observe and stand in solidarity as Korea navigates this critical juncture.

The National Solidarity has many plans for the coming year and looks forward to your continued interest and support!
