Title: National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women - August Activities Update
On August 12th, the National Solidarity held an activist training session on the topic of "U.S. Laws and Systems for Supporting Victims of Gender-Based Violence." In the United States, each state has its own laws and systems for supporting victims of gender-based violence, and some states have established integrated support systems. The session featured a feminist activist who had met with experts (government officials, law enforcement, prosecutors, attorneys, etc.) from various states involved in supporting victims of gender-based violence. It provided a valuable opportunity to explore different forms of solidarity.
Looking ahead, September 23rd marks the 20th anniversary of the enforcement of the Anti-Prostitution Law in Korea. To commemorate this milestone, the National Solidarity is planning a series of events in September, including a 20-year evaluation forum on the law, a forum by the survivor network Moongchi, the Dandelion Pilgrimage, and joint actions to advocate for legal amendments. We invite you to join us in these important events with your interest and solidarity.
