Title: National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women - June Activities Update
In May, the United Nations Special Rapporteur's report on "Prostitution and Violence against Women and Girls" was released. This report clearly states that prostitution is a violent system and highlights that using terms like "sex work" or decriminalizing and legalizing prostitution promotes it and exacerbates the violence and exploitation inherent in prostitution. After learning about the report's release, the National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women conducted support activities, such as requesting the Korean government to adopt the report. The report was reviewed on June 21st, and its adoption will be decided in July. We sincerely hope that this significant report will be adopted.
In June, the National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women also launched a Tumblbug campaign to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Many supporters have joined to back the activities of the National Solidarity over the past 20 years and into the future. We ask for your continued interest and support!
