Title: National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women - May Activities Update
Just yesterday, on May 29th, the National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women held a bilateral meeting between Korea and Japan. The meeting focused on criticizing the AV industry in light of the recent issues surrounding K-XF(Korea Xex Fantasy) in Korea, and fostering solidarity between activists from Korea and Japan.
In particular, the recent passage of the new AV law in Japan has essentially legalized the AV industry, while failing to provide adequate support for victims. The AV industry objectifies and exploits women to satisfy male sexual desires. There is a pressing need for a movement that criticizes and resists this massive industry. We plan to continue exploring and deliberating alternatives in various ways. We ask for your continued interest and solidarity.
